Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania. She's now a Romanian/German actress. Her best-known films include Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. As the only daughter to Romanian actor Valentin Platareanu Alexandra stepped into the showbiz world early and was acting in lead roles on various TV dramas before she reached the age of 16. Her critically acclaimed role in the film made for television Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including that of the secretary of Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge, in the commercially and critically successful Oscar nominated war-time drama film Downfall. The Reader is another Oscar nominated movie featuring this actress. Alexandra is well-known for her involvement in many notable projects, both in the United States and internationally. They include the British biographical film Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and French historical miniseries Napoleon among others. In addition, she was part of both the Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
